Tomorrow is Aug 1st and my house is still not ready. As per last post, we were supposed to move in last weekend but....sigh....the carpentry work are still ongoing, the blum systems are not right, platform not complete, painting works half done, plumber has not installed the basins, sinks, taps etc and the list goes on. Yes, it's real frustrating but there's nothing we can do really except to wait and wait and wait.....the worse thing is that my ID is in Japan on leave and I have to literally help him supervise the work here and monitor his workers and give instructions etc. How ridiculous can it be right? He's getting the money and having fun but I am clearing his shit here and it delays the reno works too. Sigh...really don't wanna think about it...such a nightmare.

Busy as a Bee
I have been extremely busy with the house renovation works for the past few weeks. When hubby was away in China for almost a week, I had to oversee things and also pack/throw as much as possible to ensure that I have enough time to get things done. It's very frustrating when I had to oversee the renovations as hubby has very high expectations and knows what he wants and expects for the new house. Each time I try to help, it will turn out that its not up to his expectations or he wants it to be done in another way. I feel rather frustrated at times as I feel really useless and that he doesn't trust me to do things at all...Sigh...
Anyway we are now into the final phase of the renovation works, ie the carpentry works for the house. We can't wait to move into the new house as our current place is packed and messy with all the boxes waiting to be moved and also I am getting tired of cleaning up the old place since we are moving soon :P Lazy me yeah..
Hubby took 2 days leave on wednesday and thursday, intending to settle some things for the reno as well as help me pack for the move but unfortunately there was too much errands to run outside of the house and I fell sick on these 2 days :( I had mastitis and as much as I wanted to contain my pain and discomfort, I went down with high fever and a aching body from wed to friday. We managed to run some errands on wednesday but by that night, I developed high fever and had to be on medication to make the fever subside. By thursday morning, I was practically flat out and didn't have any energy to pack anything at all. Whole day I had to rest and on medication, else my fever will return and I couldn't really do much about it. With me down and out, hubby didn't see how he could help pack and ended up running errands outside again and then went out for business entertainment thurs night. As I was feeling lousy, I chose to stayed over at mum's place and got her to help me out with the kids. Same thing happened last night when he had to entertain after work and I stayed over again just to make sure I had backup help when I needed it. Luckily I have started to regain my energy and slowly starting to reorganise things at home again.
Hubby will be attending a Management retreat next wed to sat, and thus I'll be bunking in over at mum's place again (am quite glad to do that these days since my place is messy and I am not going to clean it up too well now :P) Next Sunday is going to be our BIG MOVE DAY when we officially move into the new house. All of us are excited and crossing our fingers, praying that things will move smoothly next week so there won't be any further delays for our move!

Busy as a Bee...
Hubby's trip has been extended. He had scheduled to come back from China tonight but on Saturday night, he called and said that he has to extend his trip as he might need to attend another additional meeting on Thurs and can only be back on Friday. I panicked as I need his IC to register Hao for P1 on Thurs or Friday. I told him he has to confirm his return date asap and if he cannot get back on time, he'll have to find a way to send his IC to me. As of yesterday, he had yet to confirm anything and so to avoid time delay, couriered his IC to me via TNT Express, and the package will likely to reach Thursday morning. Am crossing my fingers and toes now till I receive the package and hope it'll be in time for the registration. Last night, he mentioned in our tele-conversation that he might have to attend a workshop in Beijing next week, which is untimely as he had applied leave to help me with the packing for our house move. He will not be able to help out in the week after next as he'll be in KL for management meetings. Sigh, looks like I cannot depend on him on that and better pack the rest of the stuff myself and considered him out of the packing game.
With hubby away on business trip, I have been busy with the house renovation since last week. We've finally ironed out most of the details for the carpentry plans and decided on the paint colors as well as the laminates for the carpentry. Am very worried that we may not be able to move in in time for hand over the old flat, thus I spent a lot of time with the ID/contractors to settle the details asap. Have been running around these 2 days with bb in arms, searching for the kitchen systems and deciding on what items to buy and price comparison. Luckily Min had been really cooperative and was really on his best behaviour when I was out with him running from places to places. Now I am really tired out and wished I could fall on the bed and sleep like a log, but I can't as I have more comparison to do and designs to think about. Sigh....with a Choya in hand, I've got to start working so I can rest early....

Here Comes July!!
More than half of year 2008 has passed...time really really flies faster and faster when you get older :P July 2008 is a special month for us as we are all looking forward to moving into our new place end July and our little haven is finally taking shape and looking better and better each passing day :) In addition to that, Hao is finally in for Primary One registration on the 10th of July, and I am particularly excited because my little boy is finally growing up and no longer the little baby anymore. I am sure a lot of new experiences are awaiting for him next year when he starts primary school...
The renovation works for our little haven is still ongoing and into the final phases of carpentry, cleaning and installing of appliances and electricity. It was initially intended that it'll be ready on 15th July, but then it's delayed till 4th week of July and then now finally maybe the last week. I am a bit upset with the ID as I can see his delay is due to his carpentry team is tied up in another project and unable to complete ours on time, and he did not mention to us at all till I questioned him. He's designs for the carpentry works are so-so only and we are not really seeing any differentiating ideas from him. Anyway, we can't complain much since we made the decision to hire him to do the job and we can only have ourselves to blame if he still can't deliver what we want. All we can do is just nag and nag and nag at him all the time :P
Hubby is travelling to Fuzhou tomorrow afternoon. He has been travelling a lot these days, and some trips are very last minute arrangements. After he finished with his meetings in Fuzhou, he'll be heading to Shanghai for the weekend to visit 2nd brother-in-law and also attend another meeting in Shanghai on Monday. He'll probably only be back on Tuesday, afterwhich he'll rest/work for another week before heading to KL for his management meeting for about a week or so. Sigh, it seems like I hardly have time to talk to him or see him these days as he's tied up in work, having to catch up with a lot of work since he has to take time to travel overseas for meetings. I just hope all these are worth it and I know he's really working hard for the family now that I am not working. I am just glad that I now have more time to manage the family when he's away and spend more time with the kids to make up for this.
Heard that Nic is feeling down again. I feel so bad for not having more time to chat with Nic as I am busy with the kids most of the time and its hard to catch her online at the right time. I just hope she's reading my blog and knows that she's on my mind all the time and I'll talk to her as soon as I can :) Cheer up ok Nic!
