Time flies! Chinese New Year is coming to an end. This year, the celebrations are pretty short as there is only 2 public holidays and by the 3rd day, most people are either back to work or back to school. Market is bad now with the slow economy and retrenchments on the rise, many are getting back to work earlier and cutting down on costs and holidays. Well, the first bad news this year is that hubby is getting a 20% pay cut. That means we've gonna tighten our belts a little and hope this passes quickly.
It is now February. January has passed quietly without me realising what I accomplished in that month. Very soon the first school holiday will come in March and a quarter of the year will be over. Is it me or is time trying to catch us faster and faster so that we will age faster? Now at 32, I wonder how we'll be like when I am 35 or even 40. Hubby is also reaching 36 this year. Wow, didn't think of him as old also but he's stepping into the forties soon! Pretty scary. Just the other day, Hao asked about life and death and heaven and earth. He says he's scared of dying. I told him everyone has to die. Even plants and animals. The good part of being a living thing is that we get to experience different stages of life and can enjoy times of happiness and sadness etc. I think that's the luxury of being human. He's still skeptical of that and says he might want to become another thing so he won't die. Pretty profound for a P1 kid. Wonder when Ee is going to ask me the same question.
