The two long weekends in May is gone. Hao's exams are over too, and had gotten his results back. Not the top in class but his results are very satisfactory to us and himself. I must applaud him for his efforts and as promised, I brought him out and got him the whole series of Ben 10 comics from Popular (9 books in all). More books? Yes! Now that he's starting to enjoy reading, we are very willing to get books for him to read, in any form, including comics. We feel that with interest, he can pick up vocab and reading faster than forcing him to read books that we choose for him. I've also declared 2 weeks "off" for him and he wouldn't need to do any worksheets or assessment, except his homework and he will also have free play at home. Now he's in Cloud 9!!
After lunch on Saturday, we had nowhere to go and wandered to the Bedok Reservoir for a walk. It wasn't particularly hot that day and we were quite keen to explore the Forest Adventure over at the reservoir. It wasn't crowded and Hao decided that it wasn't too scary for him and went for the kids' course there. Ee was too young (min age is 5 yrs old) and thus we just looked at Hao from the rest area. He had a lot of fun. Hubby took pics and video on his mobile phone so I'll post more stuff once I get hold of them!
