Happy Holidays!

Today is Deevapali, a public holiday in Singapore. It's a long weekend holiday to many, as it meant that they can rest from Saturday to Monday, a total of 3 days instead of the standard 2 days weekend.
Hubby came back from his China business trip on Saturday. I brought the kids to the airport for a little walk while we waited for hubby's flight in at the Changi Airport T3. This trip back hubby had some time to shop for toys for the kids and got them some mental games which got me and ds1 hooked on :P
My friends Eileen, Karen and Eng came over to our home yesterday afternoon. They brought their boys over and we had a good time catching up and letting the boys (total of 9 including the little ones) mingled and play together. Time really flies and I can still remember the past gatherings we had the kids sitting around play with toys but yesterday, most of them are on the couch glued to the TV playing WII games while the little ones (Matt and Min) crawling on the floor playing the games that had once belonged to ds1 and ds2. Its really quite interesting to see how their habits and interests changes when they start to grow up. While 2 of the boys are already in primary school, another 3 will be entering primary school next year, leaving only Ee, Min and Matt still in todd years. Very soon we'll be seeing them doing their PSLEs and discussing which secondary schools to enrol in...sigh how fast we age!
On the weather side, we had 2 days of sun on sat and sun and it rained today. Not heavy but was enough to lower the temperature to a cooling level and as I am updating my blog now, hubby and dss are all napping in this cooling afternoon while I have some time to clear my housework lol

Min is ONE!!!

Min is finally ONE!!! Min celebrated his very first birthday last weekend. We had a little family dinner (cooked by me and mum) at my parents' place on Friday night, and all my family member came back for dinner, including my elder brother Boon who spend most of his time in China. On Saturday night, we had buffet dinner at in laws place, with family members from hubby's side. We ordered peranakan food from Guan Soon Hoe Restaurant, which was different from the usual chinese food, and ordered a choco fudge banana cake from Choc-A-Bloc. The food was yummy and had a lot of good reviews, while the cake was very very rich and sinful! Min behaved like a gem that night and didn't at all fuss a tiny weeny bit. Overall, it was a good gathering.

Reaching one year old, Min finally learnt how to crawl and cruise around on his own. He no longer needed to depend on us to go places and always keeping a lookout of him at all times. I can finally leave him to play with his elder brothers or even on his own and then go my own housework. A lot of people commented that his looks changed a little recently...I guess he's more cheeky and mature looking now. Best part is some people said he looks more like me than hubby now LOL

Also the photos of our Japan trip as well as my travel journal have finally been updated to my photo album so everyone can take a look at the photos at Shutterfly now!

Back to MotherLand

Finally ended our journey to the land of vending machines and recycling bins - Japan. It was definitely a worthwhile trip although it was very very tiring for us to be bringing the 3 kids along. Nevetheless, it was very very fun and even Min had lotsa fun! Will be updating my blog with our Travel journal and pics soon...
